The release of millions of pages of documents related to Jeffrey Epstein , the convicted sex offender who died in 2019, has sparked new discussions about his contacts with prominent international figures, including billionaire Bill Gates.

According to documents released by the US Department of Justice, an email dated March 20, 2015, with the subject line “ Preparing for Pandemics,” was sent to Epstein by a person whose name has been redacted.

The email contains a draft agenda for a meeting on pandemic preparedness and suggests the involvement of the World Health Organization (WHO) as well as the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC).

The message reads: “ As requested, I am attaching a draft agenda for a meeting on pandemic preparedness,” as well as “Let’s discuss next steps, including how to formally involve the WHO and the ICRC .”

Russian media outlet Izvestia reported that the files contain discussions between Epstein and Bill Gates regarding pandemic modeling and biomedical projects, fueling claims that the unidentified person in the 2015 email may have been Gates. According to the report, the email was allegedly originally sent to Bill Gates in 2017 and then forwarded to Epstein.

The documents also mention discussions on simulating scenarios of large-scale disease spread, research in neurotechnology and the global spread of infections, several years before the emergence of the COVID-19 pandemic.

In October 2019, the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, in collaboration with the Johns Hopkins Center for Health Security and the World Economic Forum, organized a global pandemic simulation known as Event 201. Organizers have repeatedly emphasized that this activity was a preparatory exercise and not planning or predicting a real pandemic.

Bill Gates has publicly admitted that his relationship with Epstein was "a big mistake."

In an interview with CNN in 2021, he stated that he had met with Epstein several times in the hope of securing financial support for philanthropic projects, but that this connection had been misplaced.

Other documents released include emails and photographs showing social contacts between Epstein and Gates. Gates has not commented on the new allegations raised after the files were released.

Gates' relationship with Epstein, which began around 2011, after Epstein's conviction for exploiting minors, was previously cited by Melinda French Gates as one of the factors that led to their divorce.

It is not yet known whether the following emails are authentic.
