"We will end the war if...", Putin sets new condition for peace in Ukraine

A new round of talks is being held in Abu Dhabi on reaching an agreement that would lead to an end to the war in Ukraine.

According to international media reports, Russia presented a new condition for ending the war – international recognition of Donbass as Russian.

Now, Russia is demanding not only the surrender of Donbass to achieve peace, but also its recognition as Russian by "all countries" participating in the negotiations.

On Wednesday, February 4, another round of trilateral talks involving the United States, Ukraine, and Russia began in Abu Dhabi. The discussions lasted about five hours and are continuing today.
