United States President Donald Trump declared this Wednesday that the war against Iran is not over yet, despite the severe blows that the Islamic Republic has suffered.
Speaking to reporters outside the White House, Trump said Iran had lost its navy, air force and anti-aircraft systems, while its leaders had been eliminated.
"They've lost their navy. They've lost their air force. They have no anti-aircraft guns. They have no radar. Their leaders are gone. And we can do worse ," Trump said.
"We have hit Iran harder than almost any country in history, but we are not done yet ," he added.
Earlier, in an interview with the American media outlet Axios, Trump added that the war would end “soon” and that “ there’s practically nothing left to strike.” He stressed that the end of the conflict depends solely on his decision: “ Whenever I want to end it, it will end.”
The conflict began on February 28 in cooperation with Israel. Israeli Defense Minister Israel Katz declared that the war would continue indefinitely until all the objectives of the joint Israeli-American campaign were achieved.
