DETAILS/ Execution of the head of the Greek mafia, like in action movie scenes, what witnesses saw

A mafia-style execution took place on Thursday afternoon, on one of the busiest streets of Chalandri, Athens, when the executioners shot Giorgos Moschouris with a Kalashnikov outside a diagnostic center and then fled.

A woman living in the neighborhood described to ANT1 television what happened on Thursday afternoon in the heart of Chalandri, when unknown persons "shot" with a Kalashnikov in cold blood outside a diagnostic center a 55-year-old man, known to be part of criminal groups.

His perpetrators had set up an ambush and their vehicle was parked in an alley behind the diagnostic center. His killers were waiting for him to leave the clinic and as soon as they saw him, they got out of the vehicle and shot him in the middle of the road.

"We heard that the gentleman was shot. They were hiding in a building. Five minutes ago I passed by the place where the murder took place," the witness said.

In fact, bullets penetrated the rear window of a vehicle moving at the scene, leaving the driver shaken. Another documentary video depicts a motorcyclist being shaken by the sound of gunfire and falling from his motorbike.

The windows of the clinic and the doctors' offices near the scene of the incident were also shattered.
