The report of the inspectors of the Civil Aviation Agency in North Macedonia has been published, regarding the incident of the President of Kosovo Vjosa Osmani at the Skopje Airport.
The report states that the Inspectors did an initial inspection, where it was found that the airport services acted in a professional manner and respected the international rules in this incident.
According to the findings, the president of Kosovo had refused the checks in 2022 and 2023 as well.
"The refusal to carry out standard security checks with the same passengers, according to the data, also occurred in 2022 and 2023 when security checks were accepted only after the pilot of the plane refused to accept passengers on the plane without a security check being carried out" , the report says among other things.
The inspectors have further emphasized that: "If the officials in TAV Macedonia were to act differently from the established rules and allow omissions and avoidance of the foreseen procedures, they would face serious sanctions from the Civil Aviation Agency as the body responsible for the regulation of theirs".
The incident a week ago at the Skopje airport has brought harsh reactions from the President of Kosovo, who said that the airport security team violated international standards when they tried to forcibly take her mobile phone.
