
The European Commission has approved an amount of 10 million euros to help children orphaned by the war in Ukraine. The news was announced by Gert Jan Koopman, director general of neighborhood policies of the EU executive, after the commitment announced last Thursday by Ursula von der Leyen in her meeting with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy in Kiev, report foreign media.
" As part of this package, we will use our twinning tool: civil servants from the Member States will work with the Ukrainian authorities to design a modern childcare strategy, " he explains.
