Bill Gates has said he would rather pay for vaccines than go to Mars, which he thinks is not a good use of money.

"Traveling to Mars is very expensive. You can buy measles vaccines by paying $1,000 for a life saved. This pushes me not to go to Mars," he told the BBC.

The entrepreneur has also commented on Elon Musk and Jeff Bezos. He has expressed that Musk wants to colonize Mars, while Bezzos has also joined the race for space.

SpaceX, the rocket company founded by Musk in 2002 aims to send crews to Mars until colonizing the red planet. On the other hand, Jeff Bezos, the founder of Amazon who also heads the company "Blue Origin", made a short trip to space in 2021.

Microsoft co-founder Gates believes that artificial intelligence will transform humanity "dramatically".

"This will help us examine medical and scientific issues. It's not just robots, writing and reading also help, and there's even been more progress on this side than on the robotic side. Both together provide us with higher productivity," said Gates.

Gates also spoke about his transformation into the "gogol" of conspiracy theories during the coronavirus pandemic. "I didn't expect it", he said, commenting on the news spread on the network that he has benefited from the nag virus, and even that he himself spread it initially. "During the pandemic, I received tens of millions of messages accusing me of not having caused it on purpose, or that I was eavesdropping on people. It is true that I deal with vaccines, but with those vaccines that save lives. The messages distorted this reality. I think people were looking for the "gogol" hidden in the closet, instead of accepting the simple explanations. Malice is easier to understand than biology."

Gates, who for most of his life has been the richest man in the world, has donated tens of billions of his money to charitable causes, which were centered on health, especially of children. He now spends his time dealing with malaria and climate change, as well as eradicating malnutrition and diseases such as polio and malaria.

Asked if he is thrifty in his personal life, Gates replied: "I don't have a huge closet, I don't wear jewelry. When I'm opening a present I don't keep the wrapping so I can use it again. "My grandmother never threw away a letter in her life, so by her standards I'm crazy."

Gates divorced his wife Melinda in May 2021, and when asked if he would like to find love again, he said: "Yes, of course, I'm not a robot."
