Selim's defense attorney said that the Specialized Prosecution's inability to distinguish between allegations and evidence is concerning.

" The Prosecution's inability to distinguish between allegations and evidence is as disturbing at this stage of the trial as it is surprising. But the inability to address the other points raised in relation to the NPC also highlights the lack of clarity and confidence that the Prosecution has in its own arguments ," said Geoffrey Roberts.

He added that the trial panel should not rely on the evidence presented by the Prosecution, adding that the latter cannot prove his client's guilt.

" Rexhep Selimi should be released immediately and returned to Kosovo to his family ," Roberts said, closing his speech.
