Archaeological discoveries in the locality of Hisari in Suhareka

The Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sports in Kosovo has announced new and important archaeological discoveries in the locality of Hisari in Suharekë.

Through an announcement on Facebook, MKRS announced that during the excavations in the vicinity of this locality, important discoveries were made that testify to the continuity of the Illyrian-Dardane population during the bronze and iron periods.

One of the most important discoveries is the finding of some molds for the production of ornaments, as well as vessels.

"The excavations being carried out by the Archaeological Institute of Kosovo in this locality have brought important data for the late Eneolithic culture, also the Illyrian-Dardan period in some areas of the locality", the announcement states.
