A citizen has reported to the VoxNews editorial office the DIAMBE supermarket, which sold him spoiled products. The incident occurred a few days ago in the city of Durrës, where the customer went to the supermarket and did some shopping. He takes the products, which his children would consume, and sends them to his apartment. When he gets them ready to serve them, what can he see; the sausage he bought at DIAMBE was spoiled and had a very bad smell!
But if he were to give it to children for consumption, what consequences could we have? Where are these inspectors who do checks? Or do the Muçras only deal with village and mountain products whether they have a receipt or not. On the one hand, useless checks are carried out on street vendors and products in supermarkets are left without any checks.
In the video: Debate between citizen and DIAMBE Market employees in Durrës
The citizen filmed the entire episode. A few minutes after buying the sausage and realizing it was spoiled, he showed up at the supermarket, first showing it to an employee. She looks at it and talks to another, who is also the manager.
Both employees admit that the goods are not in the conditions they should be, while they are also carrying out procedures to return the value of the payment. But more than the value of the goods, what is evident from these images is the complete lack of quality control of the food.
Are the products we buy in supermarkets or markets controlled? Do state institutions control these foods? What about the supermarket chain itself?
The action a few weeks ago in Vora, where a business was putting expired goods back on the market, should be a wake-up call for everyone. From lazy AKU employees, to others who only remember when there are actions. If you want citizens to denounce you, the case above is one of them.
Controls, especially of food, are not done from an office, or with words on social networks, but with people in the field. With certified and accredited laboratories. Money has not been lacking to date, as tens of millions of euros have been spent. But, the result is ZERO!
