A poll recently published by VoxNews has highlighted the tendencies of the Albanian electorate for the May 11 elections, showing a clear advantage for the Socialist Party and Prime Minister, Edi Rama .
According to poll data, the Socialist Party leads with 34% of the vote, while the Democratic Party currently led by Sali Berisha ranks second with 27%.
In this multi-party competition, new political trends are also being noticed that are gaining significant ground in public opinion.
Adriatik Lapaj and Agron Shehaj share the same level of support, each with 13% of the vote, demonstrating an increase in interest in alternatives outside the traditional political spectrum.
Arlind Qori's Together Movement reaches 7% .
Meanwhile, Tom Doshi 's Social Democratic Party (PSD) garners only 2%, while Lulzim Basha , with a weakened political structure, is represented by 3% of popular support.
However, an interesting element of the poll is the alternative scenario that analyzes what would happen if Sali Berisha entered the elections in a broad coalition with small right-wing parties.
According to Vox News projections , in such a scenario, the opposition would have a real opportunity to challenge and even win against Edi Rama, surpassing the Socialist Party's 34%.
This suggests that the fragmentation of the opposition is directly affecting the electoral balance, while its unification would have significant consequences for the final result.
The May 11 elections are expected to be an important test for all political forces in the country.
