The process of revaluation of properties with the 5 percent tax rate will begin only after the new reference prices have come into effect.

The Ministry of Finance's draft for new reference prices affects all municipalities in the country, with the exception of the Municipality of Tirana.

The new average reference prices, based on which all properties will be taxed, do not change only in the municipality of Dimal and in zone two of the Municipality of Elbasan, while in the rest of the country, with the exception of the Municipality of Tirana, they experience an increase ranging from 0.2 percent in Pogradec to 223 percent on Sazan Island.

Currently, there is no property on this island that is subject to the revaluation tax, and it appears that the Ministry of Finance's draft precedes the possible development of the tourist resort of Donald Trump's son-in-law.
