The protest against Edi Rama's government has entered its 134th day, while Albanians living abroad have also joined the rally in the capital.
Among the participants was a citizen who had come specifically from Italy to take part in the protest. He praised the protesters' resilience, indicating that he had been following the developments of the previous days continuously via phone and television.
"I came from Italy just to participate in the 134th day of the protest. The protest is the most beautiful thing that I have followed in 133 days via phone and television. We also suffer your suffering. We have truly fled far away, but we have not changed our name and nationality, we will die here," the citizen said.
He underlined that, despite the distance and the inability to be in the square every day, immigrants continue to be close to the protesters in Albania through their support.
"We are in exile and cannot be physically here every day, but our soul, mind and heart are here with you," he declared.
During his speech, the citizen also criticized the economic situation and the contrast that, according to him, exists between the difficulties of ordinary citizens and the rapid enrichment of some people in the country.
"Albanians have food shortages, while here they become millionaires in three days. We have been working our whole lives and we can't become rich," he concluded.
