One Albania, the fastest and most extensive 5G network in Albania

For the third consecutive year, One Albania has been certified by Omnitele, this year as providing the fastest mobile network and the widest 5G coverage in Albania. The report shows that One Albania has the largest and most modern network in the country.

Omnitele, a Finnish company internationally known for its extensive expertise in mobile network comparison and field measurements, in its latest report published in July 2025, the results for the mobile network for Albania.

Comparative measurements were conducted by Omnitele in Albania during June 2025, including 10 cities: Tirana, Durrës, Vlorë, Elbasan, Shkodër, Fier, Korçë, Pogradec, Gjirokastër, Lezhë, as well as the connecting road axes between them.

This assessment focused on measuring three components:

· voice call experience,

· experience with data services and

· experience with applications.

ONE Albania resulted as the mobile network offering the highest average data speeds in download tests, performing even better than a year ago, with an average download speed of 258 Mbps compared to 143 Mbps last year.

The superiority of the network, tested by Omnitele, is certainly an affirmation of the company's transparency and integrity towards customers.

According to the report's findings, average download speeds have improved by over 70%, while average upload speeds have improved by over 30%, thanks to the implementation of 5G technology throughout 2025.

"Year after year, the ever-increasing performance of One Albania's network, confirmed by the latest comparative measurements conducted by Omnitele, clearly shows that our continuous investments in increasing capacities, improving user experience and the dedication of our colleagues have yielded the desired effects. These results prove that we are ready to compete at the highest levels of mobile service quality, successfully meeting the expectations of our customers." - said Ilir Duka, Director of the Technology Group, at One Albania.

Since 5G technology has a significant positive impact on the service experience, this report examined the level of presence and use of this technology in the cities analyzed and its impact on network performance. In this component, according to the report's findings, One was the only operator with 5G coverage in all 10 cities tested, and the volume of use of the One 5G network was also the highest.

"The 5G network, although it has only been a few months since its implementation began, has shown very good performance, within our expectations for the moment where we are and undoubtedly the quality will continue to increase in the future. However, this is just the beginning of a new phase of technological development that will offer numerous opportunities for our customers." – concluded Mr. Duka.

Also, according to Omnitele's report, the performance scores of One Albana's applications have improved, allowing users to load web pages faster, have faster access to higher quality video streaming, and post various content on social media in an even shorter time than before.
