Prime Minister Edi Rama and Deputy Prime Minister Belinda Balluku are presenting the measures for the energy crisis.

According to Rama, family consumers and small businesses will continue to be protected from the increase in energy prices.

Rama added that any family that consumes more than 800 kilowatts will pay the energy at the market price without benefiting from the protection.

"This is the basic reason why we have the lowest inflation in the region. Even more reasonable than in the whole eurozone. It would lead to the increase of other prices in chains. There is a very big "BUT". That we have over 90% family consumers who consume less than 800 kilowatts. And we have another number, about 6-7% that consume more than 800 kilowatts. It is about people with villas, swimming pools, decorative lighting. We think that the time has come that I can no longer pay the budget and the usual taxes. Every kilowatt above 800 will be paid at the market price." Rama said.
