Assessing the extraordinary and long-term consequences of the global energy crisis on the national economy, Konfindustria asks the government of Albania to establish the Emergency Fund and the Energy Crisis Management Strategy.

Likewise, the creation of the Albania-Kosovo Common Energy Market is a necessity and must be accelerated. Confindustria emphasizes.

Konfindustria requests that, among other things, full or partial financings, which are currently made for concessions, PPPs of non-primary importance, as well as non-important capital investment funds, be transferred to the Energy Fund account.

The creation of a single holding type company, which would include KESH and OSSHE and the elimination of third parties/realtors "in the sale-purchase of energy would create the conditions for reducing today's unreasonably large financial costs and would be an effective measure against massive corruption.

Konfindustria estimates that the consequences of the global energy crisis will be devastating for the productive business, industries and citizens of Albania and Kosovo with massive bankruptcies, unemployment and even jeopardizing the constitutional order, if preventive measures are not taken.

Albania and Kosovo have all the natural possibilities and the particularities of the energy systems, so that with political will they can not only successfully cope with the global energy crisis, but also have great strategic benefits.

Albania produces almost 100% of energy from water with installed capacities that exceed by nearly 30 of its needs. Kosovo has lignite reserves of world importance.

The above makes the Albanian states almost independent from changes in energy markets from Russian gas. Not to mention the rather large and completely untapped potentials of solar energy, wind, etc.
