Today, at 12:00, at the OSHEE premises, Prime Minister Edi Rama will hold a press conference, where the new electricity price is expected to be discussed.
The government has previously announced that it is working on a reduction in the price of electricity for citizens. It said that the process is under analysis and that technical processes are being optimized to offer a better price for citizens in 2025.

Currently, the price of electricity is 9.5 lek per kilowatt excluding VAT, and 11.4 lek with VAT for households. Pensioners who receive an additional compensation of 648 lek for electricity also benefit from additional assistance.
