The data of the last CENSUS of population and housing showed that 755 thousand 950 families live in Albania.

But in what conditions do they live and in what equipment have they invested the most in the last 12 years?

The data show that the majority of Albanian families own the apartments in which they live.

Out of 755 thousand 950 families, 82.5 percent of them are owners of the apartment where they live or are in the process of obtaining the legal deed of ownership.

Only 8.8 percent of Albanian families live on rent.

Meanwhile, it turns out that the majority of families, 97%, own basic appliances such as televisions, refrigerators, mobile phones and washing machines.

Also, it turns out that the penetration of the Internet in the population has seen strong growth in recent years, since more than 74% of Albanian families have a physical system of Internet connection.

In contrast to the CENSI of 2011, it turns out that the physical connection of the Internet line has marked a significant increase, with 62.2 percentage points.

In the last 12 years, it turns out that Albanian families have invested more in other long-term equipment that improves their living.

In this context, the CENSI of 2023 highlights that Albanian families have installed more air conditioners and solar panels, SCAN reports.

Compared to the 2011 CENSUS data, this census showed a 27.5% increase in households that have installed air conditioners.

A new trend is the significant increase in the ownership of solar panels by Albanian families, where 11.4 percent of them own solar panels compared to 2.7 percent in the previous census.

Likewise, almost half of Albanian families own or use a car, at a time when 12 years ago it was only 19.6 percent.
