The government has opened calls for applications for entities that offer and install solar panels, within the pilot project to support 2 thousand families who will want to implement solar panels in their homes.

The call for applications was published by the Minister of Energy, Belinda Balluku, who writes that the government will subsidize 70% of the amount for each family.

This government pilot project comes at a time of energy crisis and aims to save electricity. Balluku says that with the installation of solar panels, 20% of the total cost of the electricity bill is saved.

"Water heating is 20% of the bill for each family subscriber. The Ministry of Infrastructure and Energy, through AEE, launches the subsidy program with 70% of the amount for each family that will apply for a solar water heating unit. Save 20% of your bill with this program and help with your turn to save and economize energy", writes Balluku.
Interested entities have time to apply until October 18 and submit the documents according to the established criteria, while the winner will be announced on October 30.

The government's pilot project for 2,000 families is the installation of solar panels in buildings so that they can use water for heating. The government will cover 70% of the cost if they decide to buy solar panels.
