2.87 billion lek for the Tirana-Durres highway, the works divided into lots

The expansion of the Tirana-Durres highway in the first 5 km will cost about 2.87 billion ALL, without VAT or 0.46 billion ALL less than the limit fund made available, which was about 3.33 billion ALL.

The works on this road axis will be carried out divided into two lots and as a result the Albanian Road Authority developed 2 separate tenders for each of them.

The first phase was won by the consortium of two companies, specifically, Bami Holding and Curri, with an offer of about 1.38 billion ALL, excluding VAT.

Meanwhile, the tender for the second phase was won by the union of 3 operators, which are "Elmazaj Konstruksion", "Nërtimi" and "Ndregjoni". Their offer amounts to about 1.49 billion ALL.

The first 5 km where intervention will take place for the expansion of this axis include the segment from Tirana to the Rinas overpass, while for the rest of the highway it has not yet been determined when intervention will take place.

According to the announced deadlines, the widened road will have to be almost 1 and a half years from the moment of signing the contract.

At the same time, in order to access Durrës, the old Kombinat-Ndroq-Plepa road will also be interfered with. Also for this road axis, a few days ago, the winning company was announced for lot 1, as the offer captured a value of about 568 million ALL, excluding VAT.
