The heat and Tirana that is no more!

Heat?

Everyone complains! Some say global warming, it could, some ozone hole, it could, some climate change every thousand years, it could! I don't have the strength to deal with these ideologies!

I know one thing: Even 50 years ago it was this hot in Tirana. They even stopped school, or started it in October. So much!

But Tirana back then had protection against the heat that we don't have. It was a different civilization that came from the 30s and 40s, it lasted another 30 years and then politics took its toll!

What advantages did it have for freshness?

1. There wasn't this concrete that absorbs heat during the day and releases it at night.

2. There were no these hundreds of Berlin walls made of tall buildings blocking air currents, winds, in the summer, North - South and West - East!

3. There was no criminal traffic of vehicles that, in addition to causing pollution, also raises urban temperatures.

4. In the heart of the city there were hundreds and hundreds of gardens and orchards with dozens of trees, literally millions, and what quality trees that absorbed all the carbon dioxide.

5. Thousands of wells with abundant water that, through irrigation, provided the city with freshness.

6. The city was relatively small and was surrounded by a very large rural area full of forests, now cut down, as well as agricultural crops that connected the city with nature.

7. There weren't any of those air conditioners that cool the inside and heat the outside in an outrageous way.

8. The buildings had roofs and not covered terraces that conduct all the heat vertically from floor to floor.

9. People in most cases worked in their homes, as an artisanal civilization, and did not need to ride buses in the scorching heat, becoming telef!

10. The ratio between built-up areas and surrounding areas without buildings was sometimes more balanced than now.

11. The numerous vapors of the city or the surrounding areas collided with the warm masses on Mount Dajti, and every day, clouds gathered there, which every day, around five or six o'clock, gave a heavy rain of joy that would make your heart sing, and so on without end!

Do they teach children this history in school? Or are they teaching them nonsense, not communism, not capitalism, not feudalism?

They say that a two-degree increase in the city brings mental disorders to people. Especially aggression! Are we more aggressive or not?

Are you complaining about the heat? Remember that it's fatal? No, no, we caused it!

God did not punish Adam and Eve. God does not punish. God only told them that you will suffer for what you are doing!
