Fires in Greece, Albania goes to help with fire fighters and tools, here are the forces that will be engaged

The Ministry of Defense of Albania has responded immediately to the request of the Greek authorities for help in extinguishing the fires that have been going on for three days in Xilocastro, Peloponnese.

Under the coordination of the Civil Protection Agency and the European Civil Protection Mechanism, 30 firefighters and 5 fire-fighting vehicles from Albania will be involved in the fire-fighting operations in Greece.

Firefighters from Albania will be engaged based on the needs presented by the neighboring country and will remain there until the situation stabilizes. Albania, as a member of the European Civil Protection Mechanism, is always ready to help its allies and partners in cases of natural disasters.
