The President of the Republic, Bajram Begaj, through a post on Facebook, praised the sacrifice of firefighters, members of the Armed Forces and all those who are fighting the flames of fires in these hot days.

The head of state appealed for the perpetrators to be punished harshly and according to the law.

The President invited citizens to show caution, responsibility and solidarity, respecting the instructions of the authorities and protecting life, property and nature.

"In these days of high temperatures, when many fires have broken out in several areas of the country, firefighters, members of the Armed Forces and all those who are fighting the flames deserve our gratitude. With courage, dedication and sacrifice, they are protecting our lives, families, homes and property. Respect for every firefighter and member who is facing danger on the front lines. The perpetrators who set the country on fire must be punished severely and according to the law. Faced with this situation, each of us has a duty: to be careful, to respect the instructions of the authorities, not to risk our lives and to do our part to protect the community, property and nature. Today, Albania needs the solidarity and responsibility of everyone", said Begaj.
