47-year-old man killed in Kavaja, stabbed after a conflict

A serious incident occurred this afternoon in the city of Kavaja, where a conflict suspected of being motivated by weak motives ended in the murder of a 47-year-old man. The latter lost his life after being hit with a cutting tool, while the suspected perpetrator is wanted by the police.

On 21.02.2026, at around 14:22, in neighborhood no. 3, Kavajë, citizen RP, about 47 years old, resident of Kavajë, is suspected of having, for weak motives, attacked citizen SI, about 47 years old, with a cutting tool (knife), who consequently died in hospital.

Police services have been put in pursuit of the perpetrator and work continues to capture him.

Meanwhile, the investigative group, under the direction of the Prosecutor's Office, is at the scene and is working to clarify the circumstances and legally document the case.
