The police of Bulqiza have put a doctor under investigation, as he did not notify about the burning of an elderly woman. The criminal proceedings have started against the SL citizen, resident in Tirana, who worked as a doctor at the Dibër Regional Hospital.

According to the authorities, on August 11, this citizen, while performing his duty as an on-call doctor, did not notify the Police services that a 74-year-old BM citizen, resident of Bulqiza, presented himself in the Emergency Department with severe burns.

The elderly woman died yesterday as a result of burn injuries. According to the police, the investigative actions showed that the 74-year-old woman was accidentally burned in her apartment by the gas cylinder she used for cooking.

The procedural materials were passed to the Prosecutor's Office for further action.
