"Don't hurt the girl" - Negotiations between the Roskovec police

New details have emerged from the tragic incident that occurred on Friday in Roskovec, where 35-year-old Refit Buzi killed his ex-father-in-law and ex-mother-in-law, kidnapped his ex-fiancée and, after several hours of negotiations with the police, ended his life.

After the crime, Buzi held 24-year-old Rozalinda Plaka hostage for several hours. Police forces arrived at the scene, while the chief of the Roskovec police station, Mariglen Korroveshaj, conducted continuous negotiations with the perpetrator through a loudspeaker, asking him to release the girl and surrender.

After negotiations, the 35-year-old agreed to release the young woman, but only after requesting that she be taken by the police chief. Rozalinda Plaka was then urgently transported to the Fier Hospital, due to her serious psychological condition. However, despite police efforts to convince her to surrender, Buzi refused and at around 16:35 ended her life.

Mariglen Korroveshaj: Things will be okay. Put down your gun and come with me.

Refit Buzi: Go away with the girl, go away. I'll stay here. Don't come any closer or I'll kill myself.
