Trump invites Rama to represent Albania on the Peace Board for Gaza governance

Prime Minister Edi Rama has published the official letter that the President of the United States of America, Donald Trump, sent to him inviting him to participate as a founding member of the Peace Board, a structure that will govern the Gaza Strip after the end of the war.

Dear Prime Minister,

It is a great honor for me to invite you, as Prime Minister of the Republic of Albania, to join me in a Historic and Magnificent effort to strengthen Peace in the Middle East and, at the same time, to undertake a bold new approach to resolving the Global Conflict!

On September 29, 2025, I announced the Comprehensive Plan to End the Conflict in Gaza, a 20-point plan of action, immediately supported by all World Leaders, including key leaders in the Arab World, Israel, and Europe. Following this Plan, on November 17, the United Nations Security Council overwhelmingly adopted Resolution 2803, welcoming and supporting this plan.

Now is the time to turn all Dreams into reality. The Peace Board is at the heart of this Plan and this is the most impressive and influential Board ever created, which will be established as a New International Organization and Transitional Governing Administration.

Our achievement brings together a distinguished group of nations ready to shoulder the noble responsibility of building ENDURABLE PEACE, an Honor reserved for those prepared to lead by example, and to devote themselves skillfully to a secure and prosperous future for generations to come. In the near future, we will gather our wonderful and committed partners, many of whom are highly respected World Leaders.

As Chair of the Board, I formally invite the Republic of Albania, represented by you, to join us as a Founding Member State, and become a party to the Statute of the Peace Board. This board will be so special that nothing like it has ever existed before! Each Member State may appoint an authorized representative on its behalf to participate and contribute to the meetings. Attached is the Comprehensive Plan, and the Statute of the Board, which is now available for your signature and ratification.

I look forward to working together, long into the future, toward the goal of permanently establishing WORLD PEACE, PROSPERITY, AND GREATNESS FOR ALL!
