"Shocking for us...", The couple who lost their lives in the accident

The couple Petrit and Elona Florini who lost their lives this morning in the tragic accident in Lezha are relatives of the city's mayor, Pjerin Ndreu.

Pjerini revealed in a post on social media that Petriti was his aunt's son.

"Petrit Florini, the son of my aunt and wife Elona Florini, tragically lost his life today in an accident in Lezha! A shocking event for all of us!????????????
Rest in peace Petrit and Elona!", writes Pjerini.

Petrit Florini, 53 years old, a police officer from Puka, and his wife, Elona Florini, 42 years old, a teacher, were involved in an accident this morning on the Lezhë-Shkodër axis, near the village of Gocaj.

Three passengers traveling in the other vehicle were also injured in the accident, including a woman and two minor children, aged 6 and 2. According to doctors, their lives are out of danger.
