Three minor girls, ages 10, 7, and 3, in the city of Korça ended up in the hospital yesterday after consuming some candy they found near a trash can.

It was later discovered that the candies contained cannabis essence, while new details have recently come to light.

The candies that the underage girls consumed are of the Camino variety, and each of them contains 10 milligrams of THC.

THC is the main psychoactive chemical ingredient in cannabis that causes the 'high' effects that people experience when using cannabis or other cannabis products.

These products are strictly prohibited from use by persons under the age of 21 as they may cause health problems.

Due to the consumption of these candies, the 3-year-old girl was intubated at Korça Hospital after presenting to the emergency room with severe nervous system symptoms.
