Three arrested for violence on Ksamil beach, the injured man's wife also

The State Police has issued an official statement regarding the violent altercation that occurred on Saturday on Ksamil beach.

According to the police, three people have been arrested, accused of violence against a 46-year-old man, while a 17-year-old from Kamza has been released on bail.

The arrested are: AT, 43 years old, resident of Berat, SS, 18 years old, resident of Dibër, and AZ, 35 years old, resident of Durrës.

"The investigation revealed that these citizens, in collaboration with each other, for weak motives, hit citizen AP, 46 years old, resident of Tirana, with hard objects near a public beach in Ksamil, causing bodily harm," the police statement said.

Also, according to the police, the wife of the 46-year-old injured man has been taken into criminal proceedings, after causing material damage to the "beach bar" of one of the arrested.

"Also, in connection with this event, the materials were referred to the Prosecutor's Office for the criminal offense of 'Destruction of Property' and criminal proceedings were initiated against citizen OP, 40 years old, because after the conflict this citizen damaged the environment by destroying equipment and other items in the 'beach bar' of the arrested citizen AT," the police statement said.

The police announce that the procedural materials were passed on to the Prosecutor's Office at the First Instance Court of General Jurisdiction of Saranda, for further action.
