Gunshots were recorded this Tuesday evening in Shkodër.

Official police sources say that an unidentified person fired a firearm in the air, in the Guerrile neighborhood.

"Around 20:05, in the "Guerrile" neighborhood, near the meadows, an unidentified citizen fired a firearm into the air. The Police Services immediately went to the scene, set up checkpoints, and the combing of the area continues, to make it possible to catch the perpetrator. The investigative group continues its work to clarify the circumstances of the event", Shkodra police said in an official announcement to the media.

Initially, it was said that the shots had been directed at an apartment, owned by a police officer.

However, officially the police say that it is only about shooting in the air. The reasons remain unclear.
