Tirana's police have reacted to the images that have been circulating on the internet for the last two days, where a young man is seen raping a police officer, laying him on the ground and then running away.

According to the blues of the capital, the event in question was reported on March 26. The young man who appears in the video has been detained by the Police and is a citizen of FS, 22 years old, resident in Tirana. He was caught in the New Ring area together with his brother, as they were consuming hashish.

Clarification of the Tirana Police:

In relation to a video published on the portals, in which a citizen is shown forcefully opposing a police officer, we clarify that for the arrest of the citizen who appears in the video, an official notification was given to the media on March 26, as follows :

Crime Investigation Specialists of the Police Station No. 6 arrested the FS citizen, 22 years old, resident in Tirana, for the criminal offense of "Opposing a public order police officer". Also, for this case, the proceedings have started in free status, for the brother of the 22-year-old, citizen Xh. S., 26 years old, resident in Tirana.

Circumstances: On 25.03.2023, around 11:00 p.m., on "Aleksandri i Madh" street, in the New Ring Road, the services of the General Patrol found the citizens FS and Xh. S. (brothers), who are suspected to have been consuming cannabis narcotics.

At the time of Police intervention, citizen Xh. S. ran away, while citizen FS, during the detention, forcefully opposed the police officer. The FS citizen was able to leave, but after the intervention of other Police services, he was caught, together with his brother, and then the procedural actions were carried out, under the direction of the Prosecutor's Office.
