A movie scene happened today on the Greek-Albanian border, where a vehicle full of drugs tried to escape from the Police, but then had an accident.

The incident took place in Igoumenica, where the vehicle in question initially stopped the Police, but then increased its speed and was found to have collided with the traffic dividers.

Neighboring media reports that 2 bags with 32 packages containing 32 kg of marijuana were found inside the vehicle. 400 euros and 3 mobile phones were also seized, while the driver and the female passenger were arrested.

The estimated benefit from the trafficking of the seized amount of drugs amounts to 81,435 euros. Those arrested will be sent to the Thesproti Criminal Prosecutor's Office.

From the police investigations it turned out that the arrested person had come from an area of ​​Northern Greece with the purpose of obtaining, transporting and further trafficking of drugs in the local market.

It is known that since the beginning of the year, the Drug Prosecutor's Office under the Deputy Director of Security Igoumenica has discovered 6 drug loads and seized a total of 335 kilograms of raw cannabis.
