Agents of the Civil Guard in Galicia, Spain have arrested two Albanian citizens as responsible for one of the largest marijuana plantations found in this area in recent years. The plantation was located in a meadow in the municipal mountain of the parish of Pedres in the municipality of Cerdedo-Cotobade.

The agents were informed about suspicious movements of two Albanian citizens and their unjustified presence in Montes de Pedre. Thanks to the cooperation of the public, the agents were able to find the plantation and when the investigative team arrived to inspect the area, they discovered an area of ​​land that exceeds 2,500 square meters, with 3,437 cultivated cannabis plants.

At the same time, the two Albanians were surprised, as they were doing work when the police action happened. They are considered as suspected perpetrators of a crime against public health, for drug trafficking.

They lived in two tents that were attached to the plantation and had the necessary tools to survive a long season. In addition to other materials, they had a kitchen with a stove and plenty of food and drink. Also, in a third trunk, the personal documentation of another Albanian citizen, whose location is unknown, was found.

In this camp, the Civil Guard also verified the presence of various construction materials to work on the land such as shovels, picks and other agricultural tools, chemical fertilizers and gardening products. In addition, there was a plastic water barrel to which several pipes were connected to irrigate the entire plantation.

The operation ended with the cutting and weighing of the plants. They will now be made available to the competent judicial authority, while those arrested were transferred to the Investigative Court number three of Pontevedra, which left them in prison.

At the moment, the procedure for finding and arresting the person, who according to the investigations could live in the third tent found in this area of ​​the mountain, is ongoing.
