The beauty of Albania has become an attraction for foreign tourists, and is even attracting the attention of the most important media that promote Albanian tourism. Recently, it was the well-known French media "TF1", which dedicated a 5-minute report to Gjirokastra.

The report is titled "Albania: Valley of Miracles", while TF1 invites all French tourists to plan a trip to get to know the beauties of Gjirokastra.

"Opposite Italy, very close to Greece, Albania is an ancient kingdom that became a hermit country after the Second World War. "TF1" invites you to discover it", says the report.

The report focuses on the beauty, culture, history and cuisine of the stone city, which is undoubtedly a tourist attraction for tourists from all over the world. The French journalist got to know the history of Gjirokastra, especially that of the communist period, and was surprised by the fact that this city was the birthplace of the dictator Enver Hoxha.

The traditional dishes of Gjirokastra have received attention, while the French media suggests tourists not to leave without trying them.

"Situated between two hills, Gjirokastra offers a gray shade of the mountain massif of southern Albania. To walk through this small town is to be amazed by the medieval atmosphere, with its bazaar and the houses of the Ottoman period. In the middle of summer, the cobbled streets are overrun by tourists. But, in this period, these Albanians focused on a backgammon game.

So are you winning?

It's the dice that wins…

This is a traditional game that is played a lot in the Balkans.

But here it is more suggested that you look up. At the top, the castle, the watchman of the city, rises to 300 meters. The millions of stones that built it have given Gjirokastra its name, the 'Silver Castle', the largest in all of Albania. In the 15th century, the Turks conquered it, and this castle was considered the most powerful in Europe at that time," the report says.
The report was also shared by Prime Minister Edi Rama on Facebook, while writing that the French media TF1 gave the Francophone public all the magic of Gjirokastra in five minutes.

"A nice surprise on one of the televisions with the highest audience in France, such as TF1, which gave the francophone public in five minutes all the magic of Gjirokastra, whose alleys are buzzing with tourists this early summer, in the impressive journey from the legend of Argjiro, to the culinary, natural and cultural tourism that is offered in the area, as the clearest example of the colossal transformation that has taken place in these years", writes Rama.
