Reporters Without Borders has responded to Prime Minister Rama regarding press freedom in Albania, after the latter cited a report by an Artificial Intelligence startup that showed that the opposition voice dominated the media space.

The organization tells Rama to invest his energy in addressing the problems of media freedom in Albania, while also expressing its readiness for dialogue.

“ Prime Minister Edi Rama, instead of trying in vain to prove that the Reporters Without Borders (#RSFIndex) index is wrong, we propose that energy be invested in addressing the chronic problems of media freedom in Albania. Together with its local partners, RSF is ready for a dialogue on its proposals ,” writes Reporters Without Borders on the X network.

The Reporters Without Borders report ranks Albania in 83rd place in terms of press freedom and media transparency, a decline compared to the previous year.
