Putin with a serious threat: the new Russian missiles will hit the
Russian President Vladimir Putin

The President of Russia, Vladimir Putin, has threatened that his country will shoot with new hypersonic missiles the targets of "decision makers" in the Ukrainian capital, Kiev.

In a press conference, Putin praised the "Oreshnik" missiles, saying they are the most advanced and have no analogues in the West. Such a missile was reportedly tested a few days ago in the Ukrainian city of Dnipro.

"The Russian General Staff and the Ministry of Defense are currently selecting targets in Ukraine for the Oreshnik missile." Russia's hypersonic systems have no global equivalent. Additional weapons, including new missile systems, may be developed in the near future," he said.

Putin also referred to Ukraine's government as "illegitimate" and "usurping".

Earlier, former Russian Defense Minister Shoigu stated at the CSTO summit that under Russia's updated nuclear doctrine, its "nuclear umbrella" extends mainly to the member states of the Collective Security Treaty Organization.
