Protest against the government on the boulevard and celebration for the 35th anniversary in "Italia" Square. This is the political agenda of this Friday in Tirana, where citizens and supporters of the socialist party will gather in parallel in two separate activities, but which will affect traffic on the streets of the capital.
For this reason, the Tirana Police has drafted a detailed plan of measures for the smooth running of the rally on "Dëshmorët e Kombit" Boulevard and the Socialist Party activity on "Italia" Square, and above all for guaranteeing public order and safety during both activities.
According to the police, from 4:00 PM until the end of the activities there will be traffic jams and restrictions on several road axes.
Thus, vehicle traffic will not be allowed on the streets "Papa Gjon Pali II", "Dervish Hima", "Faik Konica", "Lek Dukagjini", "Gjergj Filipi", "Hasim Zeneli", "Themistokli Gërmenji" and on the segment of the street "Ibrahim Rugova", from the intersection with the street "Libri Universitar" to the square "Shopen".
Also, vehicle traffic will be blocked on "Dëshmorët e Kombit" Boulevard, up to "Mother Teresa" Square.
Tirana Police has appealed to citizens for understanding, advising them to use alternative routes of movement and respect the instructions of officers on the ground.
