The 20th consecutive protest of the movement known as the "Flamingo Revolution" is taking place this Friday evening, with thousands of citizens gathering in front of the Prime Minister's Office to demand the resignation of Prime Minister Edi Rama.

One of the organizers of the protest, activist Arben Kola, stated that citizens from the diaspora are also expected to join the protest.

"Tomorrow the emigrants are coming, they have written a one-way ticket," he said.

Activist Luçiana Kokaj, during her speech at the protest, also warned that many Albanians living in different European countries are coming to our country to join the protests taking place in Tirana.

"Hello everyone. Continue to be the best. We are here and will be until we overthrow this government. The Prime Minister said 'if I leave, who will take you to the EU?'. I would tell him that there are thousands who can take us to the EU before you. Since this square, we have raised our voices in the EP and we will continue to do so every day. Those who represent us worthily in the EU are among us. Some have joined us and some are on their way," said Kokaj.

Despite the protest entering its third week, participation remains high, while organizers consider the continued mobilization as an indicator of growing dissatisfaction with the government and the political class.

Today's rally comes just a day after thousands of citizens marched towards the Albanian Parliament, changing the traditional protest route for the first time.

During yesterday's protest, no incidents with law enforcement were reported, although a moment of verbal tension was recorded near the Democratic Party headquarters, where some of the protesters also criticized the opposition.

The movement, which initially began as opposition to development projects in the Vjosa-Narta protected area, has gradually transformed into a broader protest against the government and the political establishment.

Meanwhile, criminal proceedings initiated by the Tirana Police against some organizers and participants do not seem to have had an impact on reducing mobilization.

The organizers have described the measures as an attempt to curb civic participation and have warned that the protests will continue until their demands are met.

As in previous days, after standing in front of the Prime Minister's Office, protesters are expected to march on the main axes of the capital, continuing the pressure on the government on the 20th day of continuous protests.
