66-year-old  Irakli Çinoku was found dead inside a vehicle that caught fire this Monday morning in neighborhood no. 10 of Korça.

According to the data, it is learned that the victim was currently living alone after having family problems with his wife.

The latter has gone to Greece to live with the couple's two children.

The victim left a note before committing the serious act of setting the vehicle on fire and sacrificing himself.

In the note found by the police, it is learned that the victim wrote " I'm leaving because I haven't behaved well with my family ."

It is suspected that this was the reason why the 66-year-old ended his life, as he felt guilty about the bad relationship within the family. Police are still investigating to fully clarify the circumstances.

Police announcement: 

At around 08:40, in neighborhood no. 10, Korça, a “ Benz ” type vehicle was engulfed in flames.

The Police and Fire Department immediately went to the scene, where they found that inside the vehicle, in the front passenger seat, was citizen I. Ç., about 66 years old, with no signs of life.

Based on preliminary actions and information, it is suspected that the citizen may have self-immolated inside the vehicle.

The investigative group, under the direction of the Prosecutor's Office, is at the scene and continues to work to fully clarify the circumstances and cause of the incident.
