The Municipality of Tirana and the Albanian-American Development Fund announced this Monday the call for companies interested in renting premises at the Pyramid of Tirana.

“The purpose of this call for expressions of interest is to give applicants the opportunity to compete for vacant indoor and outdoor rental spaces. Interested applicants should submit their business proposals," the announced call states

According to the call, the selection of subjects will be in two stages. The pre-qualification stage requires interested entities to have a profitable business for the last three years, excluding Start-ups.

Also, in the expression of interest, companies must define the area they want to rent and the business they want to develop there. Then it will be passed to the second stage of the selection, which is based on the rent proposed by the companies, where those that offer the highest value are declared the winners.

"The revitalization of the Pyramid of Tirana" is a joint project between the Municipality of Tirana and AADF, which includes the transformation of the Pyramid into a multi-functional technology education center for young people.

According to the plan, TUMO Tirana will be located in a main part of the building, an after-school program where students aged 12-18 can expand their creative and analytical skills in 8 different disciplines:

Programming; Animation; Game Development; Graphic design; Making films; Music; Robotics and 3D Modelling. While the rest of the premises will be offered for rent to interested private entities. from sectors such as: Start Up, businesses from the digital technology industry, creative industries, arts, education and media. In the call, it is announced that the Pyramid will house businesses from the retail sector, food and beverages, offices for local and international organizations, etc.
