The founder of Top Media, Dritan Hoxha, is commemorated today on the 17th anniversary of his death.

On May 23, 2008, Dritan Hoxha passed away after a tragic accident in Tirana.

Dritan Hoxha is the founder of the largest television station in the country, Top Channel, Top News, the radio stations Top Albania, Top Gold and My Music, the newspaper "Shqip", the first platform in Albania for digital terrestrial and satellite broadcasting, DigitAlb, and later, also for mobile broadcasting using DVB-H technology.

With his vision and hard work, Top Channel was the first television station to produce shows and documentaries in High Definition.

Through television broadcasts, he was able to achieve a spiritual unity of all Albanians wherever they are in the world.

The founder of Top Media was decorated with the title "Grand Master" by the President of the Republic, Bajram Begaj, on December 23, 2023.

As an unwavering dreamer and visionary, courageous in creativity, innovative and passionate, Begaj described the founder of Top Media, who managed to create a work of unparalleled dimensions.

"The man who worked day and night to realize his life's project deserved the new nickname by which he was known as Tani i Topit," said President Begaj.
