The suspected perpetrator of the murder of 41-year-old Albanian Altin Arapaj in Greece has been arrested. According to Greek media, it is a 49-year-old, also Albanian, whose identity has not been disclosed, who was caught in a house in Glyka Nera. Police also searched the car in which the crime took place, inside which blood and a shell casing were found.

The 41-year-old was found dead in a vineyard in Rafina, Artemis. It was the victim's wife who contacted authorities after he called her to say that a friend of his had shot him. Greek police investigations revealed that the perpetrator, the victim and two other people had met on Tuesday evening in Artemis.

They then got into a car driven by the person named by the victim as the perpetrator and stopped at the intersection of Pefkon and Arionos streets in Rafina. The perpetrator pulled out a gun and shot him in the face.

The 41-year-old Arapaj fled the scene on foot, and managed to call his wife and tell her that he had been shot by his friend. The main motive for the murder is to settle scores for disrupting drug deals, as the two Albanians have been in the hands of the authorities for such cases.
