Due to heavy rainfall, the flows in the Vjosa River have increased. The Ministry of Defense has stated that the Vjosa River is being monitored as it is in danger of overflowing its banks.

The Minister of Defense, Piro Vengu, arrived this afternoon at the Mifoli bridge, where he is closely monitoring the situation of the Vjosa river flows. The rains have not stopped yet and the situation continues to be critical, as rainfall is expected in the Gulf of Vlora as well as in the south of the country in the coming hours.

Authorities have notified all residents and businesses along the riverbank to be cautious and remain alert for any possible developments.

So far, the level has reached 6 meters, while the critical point is 6.8 meters.
