The death of 19-year-old Albanian woman Myrto has shocked Greece. The young woman died after a heart attack, which is suspected to have been caused by the consumption of cocaine, which was given to her by her three friends, who have now been arrested.

During an interview with Greek media, Myrto's mother, through tears, stated that she walks every day with the heaviest burden a person can bear: the loss of her child.

She has revealed that, since that night, she has been living with a "why" for which she cannot find an answer.

"Why did they throw him away? Why did they let him die? Why did they throw him away like trash? Why am I counting the days without my child?"

"I want them to be punished. My child had a good, beautiful soul... Don't waste any more young girls," says Myrto's mother.

She further stated that her days flow differently. Every morning she carries the same loss and every night she returns to the same darkness.

Myrto's mother, who works as a full-time nurse at the Kefalonia hospital, was called to the hospital's emergency room on the fateful night not knowing what she would encounter. There, she was faced with the most cruel sight, seeing her daughter dead.
