"5D" file - Redi Molla's request for unblocking assets is rejected

The Constitutional Court has rejected Redi Molla's request and upheld the SPAK decision to seize his assets.

The former director of the Municipality of Tirana had requested the repeal of the seizure measure, imposed as part of the investigations into the "5D" file, but the Constitutional Court ruled in favor of the Special Prosecution Office and rejected his request.

Redi Molla and the other former director of the Municipality of Tirana, Mariglen Qato, were arrested in March 2024 by order of SPAK, as part of the investigations into the "5D" file.

Molla was then placed under house arrest, following a forensic examination.

According to the charges brought against them, they are suspected of being the actual owners of the company '5D', which has won several tenders from the Municipality of Tirana.
