The police operation codenamed "Road Guard 57" is finalized. The 42-year-old (Kosovar citizen) was caught red-handed transporting 10 immigrants for profit, with the intention of illegally crossing the border.

The vehicle in which the immigrants were transported, 1 mobile device and a sum of money were seized.

" The Section for the Investigation of Illegal Traffic, in cooperation with the Special Eagle Force of DVP Gjirokastër, following the continuous work, in the field, for the prevention, identification and attack of the criminal activity of providing assistance to foreign citizens, for illegal crossing of the border, supported by information intelligence, has finalized the coded police operation "Road Guard 57", as a result of which the citizen was arrested in flagrante delicto: DR, 42 years old, resident in Kosovo.

This citizen was caught in the act, in the place called "Ura e Leklit", transporting 10 illegal immigrants from the MENA countries, who had the goal of crossing the border illegally, in a vehicle towards Tirana, against profit As material evidence, the vehicle, 1 mobile device and a sum of money were seized ." – informs the police.  

The materials were passed to the Prosecutor's Office at the Gjirokastër Court of First Instance, for further action.
