Jetmir Muçllari, the owner of the "Driloni" hotel in Pogradec, has been arrested by the police after he physically clashed with the mayor of Tushemisht, Ilirjan Tasellari, and another person yesterday over a road he claimed as his own.
After the conflict, the police launched an investigation and discovered that Jetmir Muçollari had carried out construction work without a permit on the land he claims to own. However, it turns out that this land is part of a protected area.
Muçollari is accused of the criminal offenses of "land abuse" and "illegal construction for profit purposes."
It is learned that the Pogradec Territory Protection Inspectorate (IMT) had suspended works in this area a week ago. The case has now been passed to the Prosecutor's Office for further investigation.
