Police come to the aid of 13 citizens stranded by snow on the

The police helped 13 citizens who were stranded on the Korça-Esekë road as a result of heavy snowfall.

The services of the Ersekë Police Commissariat, in cooperation with the Leskovik Border Police services, came to the aid of several citizens who were stranded on the old "Korçë-Ersekë" road, as the vehicles they were traveling in could not continue their movement due to heavy snowfall and because their vehicles were not equipped with snow chains.

Police services went to the village of Qafëzezë with high-traffic police vehicles and provided assistance to 11 citizens traveling in two vehicles, as well as two citizens whose vehicle had been left behind at the 3 Leskovik Bridges.

Citizens have thanked Police officers for their prompt assistance in difficult conditions due to the snow.

The State Police appeals to drivers traveling to the city of Erseka to use snow chains and winter tires, moderate speed, and follow the instructions of the Traffic Police.

Snowplows are continuing their work to clear the road.

Police services are maximally engaged in serving citizens and invite them to call the toll-free number 112 for any problems they may encounter.
