"Call Center" Fraud, SPAK Requests Confiscation of Erjon Kasmi and Xhulian Xhafa's Assets Worth 2.3 Million Euros

SPAK is seeking the confiscation of the assets of Erjon Kasmi and Xhulian Xhafa, accused of computer fraud and organized criminal group. According to the Special Prosecution Office, the assets include 2.3 million euros in assets, apartments, garages, and commercial entities in Tirana, Durrës, Kavajë, and Saranda. 

1,108,920 euros and 13,300,000 lek assets belong to Erjon Kasmi, while 240,000 euros belong to Xhuljan Xhafa.

Erjon Kasmi and Xhulian Xhafa were sentenced to 21 years in prison for defrauding Germans of 7 million euros through a call center to invest in the stock market. But the Appeals Court of Kosovo overturned the decision on April 23, and ordered that the case be retried from the beginning with a different panel in the Special Court. 

On July 8, Kasmi, accused of being the organizer of the fraudulent scheme, was sentenced to 11 years in prison on application of the shortened trial of 7.4 years while Xhafa was sentenced to 10 years, 6.8 with a shortened trial. According to SPAK, 'Blue energy call' in Tirana was involved in defrauding German citizens, taking over 7 million euros.

The value of the seized assets for which confiscation is requested is approximately 1,937,145 Euros and 33,089,854 Lekë:

The value of real estate according to contracts for citizen Xhuljan Xhafa is 240,000 euros.
